You'll need to obtain a carrier unlock code from your network provider to unlock your phone. You cannot use an unlock network code to unfreeze a frozen phone; only an unfreeze code can do it.

Step 1: Check your Samsung Continuum's lock level

·        If you've bought unlock codes from us, you'll be happy to know that we've sent you every single and available one. You’ll get an email with your unlock codes in the form of this:

             Release: 12345678 Numeric Control Number: 12345678 12345678 SCK and 12345678 SPCK

·        A network can only lock Samsung Continuum phones if the NCK lock is activated. You should only use this code when you follow the instructions for putting in the data (see step 2). Dual locks (NCK and another lock are enabled) or other locks like SCK or SPCK may be implemented on certain networks.

·        If you want to be sure that your phone has the correct lock level, follow these instructions:

·        Your phone must be switched on and connected to a network before you can enter this code.

·        This refers to the fact that your phone is linked to the network to which it is locked (if you are locked to Orange, insert an Orange SIM card into your handset)

Enter the following code: *#7465625#

The following menu options will be available:

Locking of the network

2. [xxx] Locking the subset

A value of (xxx = ON or OFF),

In this case, you must type in the NCK code and follow the steps below. You'll need the SCK code if the Subset lock value as ON and the SPCK code if the SP lock value is ON.

If you're unable to use the unfreeze code we've sent you:

You may have frozen your phone by inputting too many wrong numbers or not following our unlock steps correctly.

(a) When you put a new SIM card into your phone before unlocking it, your phone shows the "phone freeze" message.

As the last step, you get the "return for service" notice.

Now that you've figured out what degree of security your phone has, and hence what code you need to enter, you may go...

NB: If your phone doesn't accept the code to determine your lock level, go to step 2 of this tutorial immediately...

Instructions are entered in the second step of the process.

·        Switch your phone on with a SIM card that is not accepted.

·        Password" will be asked for on the phone.

·        Enter the Unlock Code we've sent you in step three.

·        Alternatively (if the phone show "Insert Correct SIM Card")

1 - Turn on your phone with a SIM card that is not accepted.

For example, #0111*CODE# may be written as:

                         OR

Use an unaccepted Sim Card to turn on your phone.

Second, the phone will ask for a code or password to unlock it.

Now that you've received the Unlock Code, you may use it to unlock your device.

Step 3: Investigating the Problem

Use the unfreeze code that came with your unlock codes if your phone freezes and displays the 'Phone Freeze' or 'Return for Service' message.

Phone freezes may occur for a variety of reasons.

You may unfreeze your phone by entering a different code than the unlock code.

Using the wrong input method for your phone (these must be followed 100 percent correctly).

When an unaccepted SIM card is introduced into the phone, the phone displays "Phone Freeze" however, when an accepted SIM card is entered, the phone operates normally.

Fixing "Phone Freeze" by unlocking the phone

·        If your phone freezes, you'll need to use the keypad on the phone to unlock it.

·        There are no guarantees or warranties of success for the following information since the unfreeze codes we supply are supplied free of charge as an added bonus with certain Samsung Continuum unlocking services.

·        Option one: (usually used with keypad Samsung Continuum – U600 etc.)

·        While a SIM card that is not approved is inserted.

·        The unfreeze code may be entered here.

·        Ctrl-O (either the left soft key or in the middle of the touch-field)

·        An unfreeze message may or may not appear on your phone.

Here is where you input the unlock code that you received (see step 1 above to determine this). Now you should be able to use your phone without any issues.

Option two: (usually used with touch screen Samsung Continuums – Galaxy S20 etc.)

In use with a genuine SIM card

·        You must enter the unfreeze code 7465625*638

·        Unfrozen phone

·        SIM cards not accepted by phone

·        Enter code #7465625*638 to unlock your phone.

·        Unlocking your phone is now complete.

                            OR

·        Inserting an unaccepted SIM card will cause the phone to shut down.

·        Enter the unlock code here.

·        Hit the 'OK' button.

·        Input the unlock code here.

·        After a few seconds, your phone should unlock.

Note that following these techniques for defrosting a frozen phone is entirely at the user's risk.
